CORONAVIRUS RISK MANAGEMENT BULLETIN

Immediate action has been taken by Impact Management and the Board of Directors. As of Monday the 9th the Hamilton Co-op staff has been disinfecting all the doors, hand railings, elevators, mailboxes, laundry machines, and compactor rooms twice daily.  We also ask the cooperation of all residents of Hamilton Coop to help mitigate any impact to our community. Please follow these recommended guidelines below.

1.     Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

2.     Cover your cough or sneeze with a disposable tissue and throw it in the trash. If you don’t have a tissue available sneeze or cough into your arm or clothing, not your hand.

3.     Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

4.     Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

5.     Stay home if you are sick unless it is necessary to seek medical attention.

6.     Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.

7.     Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

We will continue to monitor this quickly evolving situation and will provide updates as necessary. It is important that we all maintain vigilance and appropriate perspective and resist the urge to respond to misinformation and an artificially elevated perceived threat. As with any issue that conjures public fear there are those who would prey on that fear for monetary gain. Please be mindful of this as you go about your daily lives and let your judgment be guided accordingly.
